BRG Technologies Cotswold Way Walk

Our values centre on our people, to enable them to achieve their best in a friendly, inclusive and fulfilling environment that promotes opportunity and rewards merit.

We take the health and happiness of employees seriously, striving to improve our working environment and ensure our company is a place where employees are proud to work.

We do this in a number of ways, including incentivising our team to get active, completing monthly exercise challenges and organising team activities like our Cotswold Way Walk.

On Friday 6th October, 25 of our UK team took on the challenge of walking a section of the Cotswold Way, a 102-mile footpath that stretches along the Cotswold Edge escarpment of the Cotswold Hills in England.

The segment of the footpath closest to our Headquarters runs for 20.43 miles. The team kicked off the walk at 7:00am from the Painswick Beacon, then tackling Cooper’s Hill, Crickley Hill and Leckhampton Hill, before stopping off at a local cider producer for a late lunch in the sun and some dutch courage to take on the ascent up to Cleeve Hill.

The team climbed a total of 3,052 feet during the walk, with the steepest section coming after immediately after lunch, which felt even more challenging with everyone carrying a little extra weight from the burgers, pizza and cider.

Everyone made it to the finish line of the Rising Sun Pub on Cleeve Hill, just in time for tea and medals.
