We are delighted to announce that BRG has been awarded another RoSPA Gold Award, outperforming significant international competition for the second year in a row. This marks the third RoSPA health and safety award that we have received, following a silver award in 2021 and gold award in 2022.

“We are thrilled to have won a RoSPA Award for the third year in a row and with back-to-back gold awards. It recognises each member of our team who have shown an unwavering commitment to keeping our employees, supply chain partners and clients safe and well.” Kamila Palonowska TechIOSH, Health, Safety and Compliance Manager.

This success follows other awards and acknowledgments our group of companies has received in the past 12 months, including SafeContractor Accreditation, inclusion in the Financial Times 1000 and inclusion in the Sunday Times 100, to name but a few.

During 2022, our business continued to develop and grow, we recognised the need to improve on all round health and safety performance. As a result we developed and launched the ‘Next Gear’ health, safety and compliance initiative to guard against complacency. Since the introduction of ‘Next Gear’ there has been a 55% reduction in the number of all reported minor injuries, namely a 75% reduction of eye injuries recorded over the last 12 month rolling period.

The award demonstrates our continued commitment to a safe working environment for our people. High performance in health, safety and well-being is one of our company core values, which has fostered the “don’t walk by” safety culture that our team demonstrates every day. Working safely sits at the heart of everything that we do. From our UK manufacturing centres, to our project delivery locations, to our Head Office, everyone takes pride in and responsible for a safe and healthy working environment.

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is one of the most prestigious and recognised health and safety schemes in the world. Thousands of organisations from 50 countries enter the awards each year, representing a total reach of millions of employees globally. Running for nearly 70 years, it recognises and rewards those that go above and beyond to achieve health and safety excellence.

RoSPA is a not-for-profit organisation that has worked for more than 100 years to help people recognise and reduce their risk of accidents, at home, on the road, at work and at leisure. Their goal is to enable everyone to live their lives to the full, safely.

“I want to share my congratulations and thanks to Kamila and the team. This is a fantastic achievement and well-deserved reward for all their hard work. Now we must focus on maintaining our high performance and challenge ourselves to find new ways to improve our approach to health, safety and well-being” – Neil A Cook CMIOSH, Head of Health, Safety and Compliance.
